I deducted a star because the cable port hole is square with channels on two sides, while the optical cable port has three straight and one convex side and also has protrusions on two sides. It felt like trying to put a round bolt in a square hole. However, with a little effort, the cable could be connected. The adapter then connected perfectly to the TV. I thought it was too loose to adjust the angle. A tighter adjustment and a properly shaped side cable socket make it a five star product.
