This part is probably fine if you never have to remove it from the optical out wherever you plug it. I wanted to remove the adapter but the rotating part stayed in the connector. I had to CAREFULLY get it out with a knife blade. I haven't actually tested this part to see if it works. I'll probably throw it away and look for an optical cable with the right angle connector already built in. This part doesn't look reliable at all.

When I wanted to hang the television on the wall, I noticed that the cable protrudes too far when connecting via Toslink. This adapter saved the day! This allowed me to connect a Toslink cable to the back of the TV and route the cable to the soundbar. No problems with audio degradation. Fixed the female ending. However, the pin end (the end that goes into your TV) rotates 360 degrees, so you can plug it into your TV and not worry about the direction it's pointing.
