I use them to sand down glass splinters. I sand them down to 40 grit to make them smooth and go up to higher grit levels for finishing. Silicon carbide is harder than glass so it works and I'm very happy with the results. Now I don't have a vise or stationary drill, so holding a glass in one hand and a drill in the other is a little awkward. But the beats do their job. These inexpensive sanding bits consist of many pieces of sandpaper attached in a fan shape around a shank. Ingenious design and inexpensive assembly. Each attachment will last about 20 minutes under heavy use as the sandpaper wears down to the shank. A real stone cutter works better and lasts longer, but you pay a lot more. Highly recommended as a cost-effective grinding solution.
