Lucas fuel treatment definitely works. My 2004 Toyota Tundra has 150,000 miles on it and runs like a new car. It burns zero oil between oil changes, the dipstick is at the full mark right before the oil change. I use it at a dilution of 1 ounce of Lucas per 5 gallons of fuel, and buy it in this large gallon size which treats 640 gallons of gas. I know it says treats 400 gallons but when you look at the little 5 ounce bottle that on treats 25 gallons and it is the same product. So 128 ounces treats 640 gallons. At 25 a gallon bottle, that work out to 4 cents a gallon for Lucas Fuel Treatment. I use it at this dosage at every fill up. I am not seeing a huge MPG increase but it is more than 1+ MPG in a big V8 so I get say 13 MPG instead of 12 in winter, and maybe 14.5 MPG summer. That right there is saving me 8% on fuel cost though. But more important than saving money on fuel you are saving money by reducing wear on expensive items like fuel pumps, injectors and worn piston rings by never letting them get dirty in the first place. Specifically my engine runs much smoother and quieter especially on startup during the winter. It responds better to the accelerator. I never get a 'bad' tank of gas. There is no valve ticking noise at all. The smoothess is not just quietness, it is less vibration too. This product is a very thick, viscous oily substance, but it dissolves well in gasoline. It has a high flash point of 450°F, that is in the temperature range of motor oil. Compare this to gasoline that is -45°F, and diesel fuel is 126°F. I buy a pack 3 of the 8 ounce plastic squeeze bottles that have a tip and a a plastic cap on them you buy 3 for two dollars a set, at Harbor Freight tools. They are good for squeezing out a measured amount. Actually I have a 3 stage approach I bought a 32 ounce bottle of Lucas Fuel treatment and I refill it using a funnel and this one-gallon refill, then I use that to refill the small squeeze bottles. Buy the way unlike most fuel treatments the Lucas is compatible with diesel engines too and I use it in a 3 cylinder Kubota diesel tractor I bought new 16 years ago. It quiets the Kubota too though their diesel engine will probably outlast me. It is extending the life of the fuel pump on all vehicles. I have 3 Toyotas, a little Hyundai and a Kubota farm tractor. I swear by Lucas Fuel Treatment for maintaining a clean engine and for smooth operation. If I want to put in 3 ounces of Lucas I fill the little squeeze bottle with 4 ounces worth because it flows so slowly and not convenient to squeeze every last drop out.
