All is well in the end. But I had to do some serious mods before it would fit. The connection of the exhaust gas recirculation pipe is welded in such a way that it is impossible to screw the nut onto one of the manifold bolts. Thoroughly sanding the manifold, shortening the bolt, and some fiddling with installing the washer and nut finally got it working. Also, a bracket welded to the part that connects to the catalytic converter is out of place. I just had to cut it off and use a clamp to connect it to the chassis. This would be about an inch from where the welded bracket was. In this case, one inch equals one mile. Remember that most of the work has already been done, but you must finish the work before you get a working system. Together with my newly acquired front support, my little truck drives like never before.
