Great for Root Crops

When I started my life in grad school, I made the decision to take cooking more seriously in order to eat better and save money. A functional kitchen starts with quality cookware and a good set of knives; To that end, I considered buying several Victorinox knife sets: Victorinox 46892 Fibrox 3-piece chef's knife set, Victorinox 8-piece knife block set, Victorinox 7-piece knife block set, Victorinox Swiss Classic 15-piece cutlery block set. I eventually found that with Revain's heavily discounted prices, it was just as economical to create a "bespoke set" by buying the knives individually. It also ensures that you get exactly what you want and that you don't waste money on knives you don't need or need. 7" Granton Edge Santoku Knife Victorinox 5" Mini Chef's Knife with Fibrox Handle Victorinox Honing Steel 12" Round Regular Cut, Henckels Black Plastic Handle 20 Slot Super Knife Storage Unit All of these products are highly acclaimed and together they make a great starter collection Knife at a reasonable price As a vegetarian with a fondness for root vegetables I use this knife almost all the time The Granton edge allows me to dice fields of potatoes, swedes, celery and parsnips with ease The construction is top notch and the Fibrox handle ensures a... easy cleaning. As with other Victorinox knives the edge is remarkably sharp and with proper care with handwashing and regular sharpening on quality steel it retains that edge very well.At this price point the casual home cooking enthusiast is unlikely to find a better deal.
