I had problems at first when it arrived with the CD but the CD when put in my computer and tried to use the CD said it had errors on the CD there . So I tried calling the company and was put off. I wanted to ask for another CD to be sent. I decided after 20 minutes of waiting not to wait for people to talk to me. So I tried using the D-Link manual connection method and I couldn't log into 192.168.0.1. I had to reset D-Link using the reset button. I was then able to access 192.168.0.1. After setup, I was happy with the union. It had tremendous power and range that I have never experienced. Then on the 3rd day of use I went to a store in town and came back and the device wasn't working properly and was only working 48 percent. Even 3 feet from the router, the computer didn't indicate that the signal was very strong. I wondered if the D-Link was used or refurbished and sold to me as new. Even on day one I wasn't expecting any problems after the excellent performance of D-Link, so I threw away the box it came in, leaving only the bare essentials that worked with the device, a manual and an error CD. So I was very sad and shocked to find that D-Link was not working properly on the third day. I really want to believe that the D-Link 1000 DIR-645 Wireless Router is a great tool and that I was just unlucky to get a faulty router. I hope to try again with others in the future. However, I tried calling the company again after the D-Link stopped working and asked them to help me with anything I might have missed. I had no intention of returning D-Link until a technician walked me through the setup steps just in case I missed something. However when I called the company again I was put off for almost 30 minutes and nobody ever spoke to me so I got mad and stopped contacting the company and decided to just send it back and ask for the total amount. Return. This caught the attention of KC Stores and they emailed me asking if I could send me a replacement home router or just accept a partial refund and another request was that I remove the negative blog in Amazon feedback should. I replied that I would like a full refund and that I will not remove the negative blog and review, but I will add them depending on how quickly I received the refund and how the companies respond to removing the negative review have reacted. I think KC Store is probably a good store that just received a bad product and didn't know about the broken D-Link. I intend to place another order in the future and try again, but not now. Thank you for reading this blog and for the rating. Remember, just because I'm unlucky doesn't mean you're unlucky. And just because I had a good experience doesn't mean you will have a good experience too. So note that the next day after contacting the KC store I received a full refund of the product and shipping cost. So I say take a chance and order because if the D-Link you get works as well as this one but lasts a long time with no defects, you will be very happy with what you have ordered. Many Thanks.
