I am generous with three stars because there are two issues with this product. The rear diameter of the product was over 0.0025" and did not fit the nib of my Bridgeport mill. After taking some time to understand the issue by comparing my working R8 collets and looking online to determine what the R8 collet should measure, I found that the product was not manufactured correctly. Luckily, I was able to grind the back of the adapter to R8 specs and use the product. After fitting the adapter to my grinder, I found that another reviewer had a similar issue as mine. The kit that came with it used screws the M5 hex key that came with the adapter. After using the adapter with a hole cutter, I tried loosening the set screws with the included hex wrench and the set screw would not move. After I increased the force on the hex wrench, the set screw began to round. I stopped immediately and used an M5 Allen screwdriver to remove the set screws. This worked great, but as a previous reviewer said, be sure to purchase new set screws before using. Another observation is that the overall length of the adapter is quite long. This applies in particular to the built-in core drill. This results in a lot of up and down movement of the table between settings. The adapter's ability to use a center pin with a core cutter is pretty handy, but not necessary if your machine has a digital readout. I believe the adapter designer could have shortened the overall length and made the product better. Therefore, the manufacturer requires quality control in its production facility. I should never have received a product that didn't fit in the grinder.
