I've run 21 marathons in shoes from various manufacturers (Brooks, ASICS, Under Armor, New Balance, etc.) and I've owned lots of great shoes (I've run a thousand miles in pairs of ASICS GT-2000s) but the Ghost 13s I ran in were the best in shock absorption, the most comfortable and definitely the most durable. While most shoes are worn out in 300 miles, I ran 400 miles in the Ghost 13s and I've walked an additional 120 miles in them. The soles are hardly worn and they still have that squishy feel just like the day I bought them. Sometimes I even confuse them for my new Ghost 14s.The Ghost 14s appear to be the same deal. I've gotten very used to the squishy compression feel (there is no tap sound when my feet land) and I've stepped on rocks on the sidewalk and not even felt them. It's like the ground isn't there. I've run 120 miles in them and the soles show no signs of wear.
