Update – Lost another star. The holes in the mounting lugs are horizontal to the mounting axis and not vertical, allowing you to change the position of the seat and/or cover. The wooden seat I bought from Lowes to replace the plastic "Builder Special" was slightly off-center, ending up with a seat about 1/4 inch off center - just enough for the seat lugs up could slide to the edge of the bowl and lower the seat slightly at the most inconvenient times. I was able to move the screws enough to align the seat properly. Some problems.
