Hard 3.9/5 Generally a decent product for its price. Mostly good, some bad. Like most Amazon tattoo supplies, I wouldn't recommend tattooing human skin with these cartridges, although I'm sure you can. I believe that for the most part they are actually sterilized and sealed; I'll talk about that later. The cartridge itself has remarkable build quality (again for the price). It's not a cheap feeling at all. The box it came in is absolutely beautiful and worth keeping to store various tattoo/art supplies. They actually excel and blend well, the membrane is quite stiff and seems pretty durable in my experience. I think it's fair to say that the quality of your lines or shadows has more to do with the artist behind the machine than the cartridge or the machine itself. Some of the big liners and shaders have questionable groupings, maybe bent needles? Be sure to visually inspect the cartridge before using it and use it at your own risk. One of the downsides that robbed me of my glasses were the round inserts that spewed ink out of the tip; I've only experienced this with one 7RL, I haven't tested the other. Another issue I've noticed with some of these cartridges is that the packaging is brittle, torn, or broken. Be careful when choosing a cartridge and always look out for a broken seal. The convenience of a large box with a set of cartridges is absolutely worth every penny spent on it. This is a great Segway for learning about cartridges and needles. It's also a great way to exercise without spending your entire paycheck on needles. To summarize: • Good build quality • Really good lines and shading • Some cartridges spit out ink • Some sterilized packaging arrived split or torn Totally worth the money. I would recommend them to students, beginners and tattoo artists. A good thing. Fair price.
