Installation wasn't very easy as I wanted separate switches for each group of lights and I wanted the lightbar to sit on my little Subaru Impreza and the cables supplied didn't last long enough, to run cables other than a direct shot, it's easy to see why people mount them on their bumpers and hoods and not on their car roof. Once on the roof of the car (I attached a wire to the wiring harness) the light is amazing...until now it has been waterproof although I have not overcome anything just in the rain. The pods are pretty bright, but you won't even notice them if you line up the large stripe on the top of the car correctly. Big rod is good. If you're using the pods as a wider crawl space, your spotter may need them...
