I made a mistake linking my motherboard to this RAM. Your RAM will only work if you know the right chipset and motherboard. I bought another Crucial branded 4GB RAM stick from the Crucial website. I found the motherboard I had on the Crucial website and matched it to the type of RAM I needed for my motherboard. My Crucial 4GB RAM stick works great and is cheap for the amount I got. My hardware configuration is: (motherboard) GB H81M-HD2, (processor) 1150 socket Celeron G1820 Haswell, 4 GB RAM of a major brand, SATA 3 Kingston 60 GB SSD, HP DVD burner, 550W Ultra PSU. In my case it's Antec 300. Currently I only use integrated graphics. With this hardware configuration, Ubuntu 14 takes only 13 seconds to boot.
