After watching a few installation videos online this installed in about half an hour. Getting the old one out was the hardest part for me. After installation it worked perfectly. Compared to side-by-side, the original clearly has a higher build quality, so durability will show over time. After everything has been tested and assembled, this actuator is a little noisier than the original but works great. The child safety function also worked perfectly. My installation: Remove the screw from the door panel next to the door handle. Remove the door handle by loosening the screw and sliding it out. Slide the door panel up and remove it, then disconnect its electrical connector. Slide back the protective plastic sheet approximately 25% from the top corner of the door to expose the main drive access hole. Move the window rail away from the operator by loosening the top 10mm window rail screw on the top of the door, removing the torx screw from the bottom of the door, then removing the inside of the door and rotating it to one side. . Remove the three rod links from the actuator by twisting their locking clips and pulling them out of the actuator. Unscrew the operator by removing the 3 screws on the side of the door. Remove the operator from the door and disconnect its electrical connection. Reinstall the new unit by reversing the steps, then test. It's a tough task, especially when trying to open old locking clips, but it's definitely a doable task. I would recommend replacing the failed actuator as an economical option.
