Review on Tire Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 205/55 R16 91 H by Adam Woniak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A valuable purchase, some advantages!

Purchased a Continental PremiumContact 5 in size 205/55 R16 H from Germany for use on a class "C" vehicle. When selecting rubber, it is important to perform an in-depth comparison with the other leading tires. The enhanced dimensions of the ContiPremiumContact 5 quickly set it apart from other summer tires of the same size. It is approximately 1 centimeter wider and 1 centimeter taller than any other summer tires. And the Conti5 also has a deeper tread, like winter tires, and it also appears like winter tires on the disk - such plump "buns" The rubber on the Comfort is the most comfortable I've ever rode. In this area, however, I have conflicting feelings: on the one hand, the car just floats/soars like a ship, completely absorbing bumps and joints; on the other hand, this roll occasionally seems to me to be excessive. On any surface, only rustling (low frequencies) can be heard; on asphalt with a big dispersion, the rustle of rubber grows, but it does not irritate, and the rustling does not transform into a hum. Noise is truly quiet rubber. When it comes to the noise characteristics of rubber, a solid five, the difference in noise levels at speeds ranging from 60 to 100 kilometers per hour is nearly inaudible. Board: while it is true that it has a low thickness, the fact that it is so low is precisely what makes it so comfortable to drive on. In addition, I would not describe the rubber as being weak. I have already driven over minor curbs, tram rails, and multiple holes at high speeds, and there are no fractures or other damage. There were worries over the overboard prior to the purchase; nevertheless, after two months of use, I haven't noticed any issues and believe that the strength is adequate. Everything works as it should, there are no issues with the track, and it brakes perfectly even in the rain and when going through puddles. There is a lag in the responsiveness to the steering wheel while changing lanes, which is to be expected given that soft rubber was used, but you can't expect anything more from it. To summarize, the ContiPremiumContact 5 H is a wonderful rubber in terms of comfort and will be a savior for a stiff suspension; however, if your suspension is already somewhat rolled or you are frightened of the fragility of the sides, pick the V index, and the rubber will be more "collected." Be that as it may, at the price of the strength of the sides, in this respect, I recommend considering what is cheaper for your car, suspension repair or tire replacement, and for me, the option is obvious.

Pros
  • extremely gentle, incredibly silent, and capable of navigating water without any issues.
Cons
  • Index H, probably rolled a little too lightly.
