Review on California Gold Brazilian Carnauba Cleaner Wax Paste - 12 oz., Mothers 05500 by Draek Villareal

I've researched almost every car wax and found Mother's Carnauba Wax to be the best of all waxes when considering all factors (price, application, shelf life). I recently bought a 3 year old used car that has sat outside most of its life and has obviously not been waxed or washed regularly. After a thorough wash with Dawn dish soap (my favorite car cleaner if wax residue isn't a problem), I began applying the wax with a damp round sponge. I was surprised how hard the wax was in the jar - almost like candle wax. This material is definitely not "whipped"! Surprisingly, however, everything went smoothly when I screwed the applicator into the contents and applied the icing to the car roof and let it dry for about 15 minutes. A little bit on the sponge seemed to coat the metal. Now for the REAL TEST, IMHO: How easy and complete is it to remove the residue? For that reason alone I give this wax FIVE STARS! I'm so used to oil based waxes that leave shadows or streaks after application and rubbing, but this material removes completely with a swipe without leaving stains, streaks or unpolished areas. I haven't been able to conclude on the last factor yet: durability, but I'll report back after a few weeks of car washing, outdoor parking, etc. But now for Revain's price for this stuff: you can't go wrong!
