The new tank allows for more than a gallon of water to be used before the system kicks in. With the old tank, the system switched itself on even with a small water flow. I really like this as it should save me water in the long run. Now I can fill multi-liter containers much faster. A huge improvement over the 3.2 gallon tank. The tank is only slightly larger in terms of dimensions, but when you look at them side by side it's really amazing how much more volume can fit into a slightly larger space.
