3D Printer Testimonial

Hello, there were many reviews on this topic that seemed to be inaccurate, so I'd like to check this out as I have a few years of 3D printing experience. I read the comments about using the 0.6mm nozzle and decided to go with it. I was able to print well with it at 185c, grip wasn't the best, but above 190c I got a lot of tension (maybe it was my extruder). The resulting print didn't impress me too much. It didn't look, feel or smell like wood. It just smelled like regular PLA. It also grinds like PLA. In every way it seemed like colored PLA to me. It's just brown PLA with black spots. Since it doesn't seem to have any of the properties of wood I decided to downsize the nozzle to 0.4mm to see if they changed their formula and now it was basically PLA. Well boy I was wrong. I printed a part and the extrusion was very inconsistent with the 0.4mm nozzle. After one print I got a clogged nozzle. I changed the nozzles and the residual thread clogged it again. Do not use 0.4mm nozzle. TL; DR: - Only use this if you have a 0.6mm nozzle or larger - it doesn't look/smell/taste/sound/feel/sand like wood. In all respects it's just PLA with random 0.4mm wood grains. -2 stars because it's just crappy PLA clogging your extruder.
