Review on πŸŽ₯ Enhance Your Conference Room with Logitech PTZ Pro 2 Camera - USB HD 1080P Video Solution by Carlos Long

Fiddly to control but that might be my configuration

I am using this camera on a Vidyo HD-3 video conferencing endpoint. I have extensive experience installing and maintaining video conferencing equipment and managing multipoint calls using various codec platforms. This was my first experience with this camera <<in this configuration>>. This is the exact same camera used with the Logitech Group Combo, but with a 5-pin DIN connector right on the console. It has a 5-pin DIN connector, but Logitech uses a 5-pin DIN to USB 2.0 adapter cable with a power injector to get it working. I also have a USB extension cable that is rated for a maximum length of 150 feet, but I only use a 20 foot Cat 6 cable for the extension. So what is said seems somewhat sensitive to scrutiny. It's actually meant for stationary work, but you can point it to the right position and park it there. However, I overshoot my target, zoom up or down too much, and have trouble controlling the zoom. Getting it in place will require a little tinkering. The included remote does a better job, but no more than the Vidyo remote I usually use. The remote control supplied with this camera has three programmable positions. I recommend the user do their best to get it where they want it and then save the setting. So it's easy to go back to that site/scale configuration. Knowing the limitations and the price I found this for I would consider buying another, but I'll probably check back to see what's available. This camera does not have a microphone, so the sound quality cannot be assessed.
