Review on Finnex Stingray Aquarium Light 20 Inch by Donna Armstrong

Excellent choice and delivery on time! Marineland Double Bright LED as part of the package. This light alone was not enough as the 36" length casts too much shadow left both sides of the 48" tank. So I decided to add a 48" Stingray to add some light to my tank. I have the Stingray on the front of my tank and the Marineland on the back. Now the aquarium is much brighter and the Colors of the fish are really vivid. Only downside is the Marinelank still leaves a slight shadow in both back corners of my tank. Honestly it's because it's only a 36" unit. I'm still considering one Ordering a Stingray for my back. The Stingray is less than half the price of a 48" unit. Marineland thinks it would look great and would be more than enough light for me ine needs. My plants are anubius, amazon swords, java moss and floating wisteria. Not very demanding plants. When I first set up the aquarium I thought Marineland looked good. But I like the look of the Stingray better because it's much thinner and narrower while putting out more light. Various fastening options for fastening clips are also practical. I have a slightly (1/2 inch) open glass cap on the front of my tank and since the Stingray can be mounted on the outside edge of the tank it works great sitting right over the slightly vented cap. I honestly can't tell you if the Stingray will grow more demanding aquarium plants than I currently have, but it is a great light for the average aquarist. I think this is a great product.
