I've been using Sandisk cards for a long time. A while back I bought a Kingston card and found that it is not as fast and reliable as Sandisk cards. I've been using them for 8 years now and have been very happy with them until recently. I have about 500GB of digital media for my business, almost all of these sandisks, and a choice of SD and CF cards from 2GB to 32GB. The problem lies with these 8 GB cards. I'm not sure what's up with them, but for some reason most of the 8GB cards I've bought in the last half year have been terrible. Many of them have corruption/write issues the very first time they are used (the cards were formatted in the camera). For example, I bought 10 from Revain less than a week ago and on the first run one of the cards produced 15 broken frames and the other stopped writing and the camera froze. This is understandable for a map that has made the rounds, but unacceptable for a brand new map. Nikon and Canon cameras, although Nikon tends to just take corrupted images, Canon tends to freeze. On the plus side, the Sandisk support is amazing. For those who don't know, they have a lifetime guarantee on Ultra products, so we'll return our cards if they start producing a lot of corrupted images. But even then, we don't need to address these issues in the first place. Sandisk has been great in the past but my last 3 card orders don't inspire much confidence. For this reason, I even considered switching to Lexar in the future. Can I switch? Probably no. But I hope,
