Did what I needed

I bought this scanner mainly for the EPB reset function so I can make rear pads and rotors on my wife's VW Tiguan. There were several cheaper options that could achieve this, but I went with this one to see if it would improve the Android user experience and touchscreen. This scanner is definitely easy to use, especially when it comes to advanced features. Context menus provide a bit more information and guidance than you would typically expect from a budget scanning tool. The English is sometimes pretty bad, but nothing completely incomprehensible so far. I also checked some data flow parameters as I thought it might help me track down the persistent misfire problem that has plagued the Tiguan for months. Unlike my lower-level scan tool, where each channel only gives a vague number and nothing else, when using this tool, most of the channels were labeled in plain English, making it much easier to monitor the right ones. Your related mileage may vary as I have only used this on one vehicle so far. All in all I think this is a great scanner. There are some other inexpensive options with additional features, and some slightly cheaper options with the trade-off of fewer features and/or a less advanced user interface. I deducted a star because the advertised TPMS tool was not included. I contacted the seller and received no response after 2 weeks. It's just a small $10 tool, but it's still poor customer service. Don't expect these people to help you when you have a real problem that needs solving.
