Review on πŸ“ Triton 400 Pocket Scale by My Weigh by Patrick Reid

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So if you have problems like I have

DON'T BUY THE PACKAGE TOGETHER FREQUENTLY! In that little note at the bottom of the page, under the scale, the weight is 100g + 200g. A new customer (like me) would assume that these weights are what is needed to properly calibrate this scale, IT IS NOT! We need weights from 2-200g, so be very careful when ordering based on what others often buy together. If I had read a little deeper I would have seen other Q&A+ reviews pointing out that 2 x 200g = 400g is the correct required calibration weight. So I just ordered another 200g weight and it took a few tries for the scale to show "ZERO" before I could put the scale into calibration mode. I wanted to make sure this was working properly, and as I said, it took a few tries for the initial "ZERO" to appear. It's possible that the scale hasn't acclimated yet, so it's probably not a problem, but I just wanted to point this out to anyone having the same issues with putting the scale in calibration mode, letting the scale acclimate, and doing it then keep trying. Also, I had to press the UNIT button harder than I thought necessary. So if you have a problem like me, press a little harder after making sure the scale has acclimated and stabilized. to your environment. Not having a 400g I couldn't calibrate the scale but after unpacking it with a 200g weight it read 199.96/97 and eventually settled to 199.97. When I receive another 200g shipment I will complete the scale calibration. Haven't given the scale 5 stars yet as I want to make sure it's properly calibrated to 400g and then test again by turning the unit off and on again. and put on a 200g weight to make sure the scale reads 200g correctly. After all, she's very sensitive to vibrations etc. I blew her direction and the weight on the gauge went crazy for a few seconds. Very sensitive. In general while I'm impressed!

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
