At first the locking mechanism was broken so I pulled it out. This broke that function, but now I can open and close the pitter. However, every time the metal container was closed, it was hanging from the green plastic every time, so I cut off one side of the plastic. I needed a stoner, otherwise I would have just thrown it away. Keep searching.
