Open the box, read the instructions, then pack everything up again and send it back. Firstly, there are many things that you can't put in, like citrus peels, a whole list of things that are too soft, so you have to be very careful. The filters need to be replaced every 3 months for $50 each as they emit very hot vapor so are best kept in a garage. I compost a lot so I thought this would be helpful, but it isn't. It's expensive to buy and run. Very disappointed that the Vitamix was made in China and not the United States. I should have read the reviews, might have saved me trouble.
