My skin is both oily and dry, and it's really sensitive. My dermatologist recommended Bioderma's acne gel as part of a combination therapy regimen. Looking back, I can confidently claim that this instrument successfully accomplished the most sensitive skin cleansing that was required. The container is substantial, and its lid seals well. This one tube lasted me for five whole months. Nonetheless, more than the necessary dose could be extracted. A solid translucent gel, it has no discernible odor. The mud didn't get too deep for me. The gel does a good job of cleansing the face, but it is not designed to remove makeup. This is an excellent morning or second-stage cleansing tool. Not only does it not tighten, but it also does not hydrate. Produces no unpleasant aftereffects. Does not cause any sort of skin irritation or provocation. Based on one's own impressions, this treatment is neutral and subtle. It won't fix everything (nor is that really the point), but it shouldn't make things worse either. In 1.5 years, I went through three tubes of this cure and saw a decline in my skin's sensitivity. Basically, I was craving novelty. I would have gone back to using Bioderma Sensibio DS + even after discovering other excellent cleansers.
