I have a couple of Sonos Connect devices and didn't like the fact that the amps had to run 24/7. Unfortunately, while this block solves the problem of not having a trigger output, I found that it only solved half of my problem since my amps don't have a trigger input. It wasn't entirely clear to me from the description. However, rather than return them, I bought some inexpensive 12V relays so the bobwire trigger output would activate the relay and turn on the amps. It worked great so I'm leaving them in even though the installation is such a hack. It would be nice if Bobwire (Bob) offered such product options. One of the devices didn't detect any sound, so it didn't work. The optical cable that came with it was bad but I had another one and after replacing it it worked fine.
