My setup is complete!

Great stuff, does exactly what it's supposed to do. The CLUTCH component of the sound system to automatically turn on the amp is much more reliable than the audio "feel" that didn't work properly with my amp. With the Revain Echo as the source, the entire system runs seamlessly out of the closet with a single button press on my phone or an Alexa command elsewhere in my house, and the amp only kicks in when needed. Perfect.

  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Universal small device

Works as described. I connected it to a Bluetooth receiver with an optical output. I have a Revain Echo that connects via Bluetooth from 20 feet away. The trigger turns on the amplifier (which is powered by the Bluetooth receiver) when sound comes from the Echo, e.g. B. when Alexa answers a question or plays music. If your amp doesn't have a trigger input, check this device: https://www. .amazon.com/gp/product/B00WV7GMA2 It turns the outlet on and off depending on the presence of a trigger…

For the perfect answer to a question many people don't even know, see

I rarely write reviews, but I feel like I have to say something. This little device works perfectly. LED indicators enable the user to troubleshoot quickly. I've been looking for a simple way to easily get my amp/receiver up and running for a long time and I'm so glad I found it. I know there are do-it-yourself solutions, but many of them require soldering and some require coding. If this little device becomes popular and people figure out what can be done with it, Sonos will likely stop…

My problem solved!: Amplifier

What a great product. This solved a problem that had been bothering me for quite some time. The amp I use with the Sonos Connect has an auto power-on input, but it's not reliable. Using the Sonos optical output with the Bobwire now gives me a reliable 12V trigger to turn the amp on and off. It works every time! It waits about 30 seconds after pressing pause on the Sonos Connect before turning off the amplifier. The unit looks well made, has helpful LEDs to let you know how it's feeling, and…

5m per setup, worked great straight away

I rarely write reviews but this product was so well thought out and executed that I decided to put it here. I'm using it to drive the built in Anthem power amp from an older Sonos Connect and it works perfectly, turning it on and off exactly as described. I also use the DAC function and it sounds great, at least as good as my old and replaced NAD DAC. One minor niggle, they're not listed in the manual, but the audio output is a 1/8" TRS stereo mini jack. It also comes with a jumper cable and…

good box. I would like an internal power relay.

I have a couple of Sonos Connect devices and didn't like the fact that the amps had to run 24/7. Unfortunately, while this block solves the problem of not having a trigger output, I found that it only solved half of my problem since my amps don't have a trigger input. It wasn't entirely clear to me from the description. However, rather than return them, I bought some inexpensive 12V relays so the bobwire trigger output would activate the relay and turn on the amps. It worked great so I'm…

Just what I needed to add Sonos streaming to my existing Hi-Fi.

At first I wasn't sure I needed this. I didn't want to use optical for my system. Instead, I wanted to use a digital coaxial cable. I'm not familiar with other streaming devices, but the Sonos Connect seems to have all the digital outputs working simultaneously, so I was able to use the included optical cable just for the trigger function and still be able to use the digital coax cable for the actual audio signal. to the rest of the system. So it turned out to be perfect for me. Now my…

Great solution for Sonos Connect and old stereo console

Earlier this year my wife bought an old stereo console from the late 60's. It's a great looking piece and strangely still sounds great. I hooked up the Sonos Connect to it via the RCA inputs and it worked great except we had to open the console and manually turn it on and off as we used it. The Bobwire DAT1 was EXACTLY the right solution for me, along with the IoT Relay extension, which I also purchased from Revain. I hooked everything up as per the DAT1 instructions for Sonos Connect, except I

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Frequency

I have a 3 zone speaker system with ceiling speakers in 3 different rooms. I am using 3 Sonos Connects connected to a 6 channel amp (3 zones) and a subwoofer amp. I've had this system for years and left the power amps on all the time as Sonos didn't automatically turn on the amps. Some of my amps have modes that automatically detect when a tone is playing, but that doesn't always work. My Klipsch amp in particular won't turn on until the volume gets too loud in Audio Sense mode. And then…
