Review on 🏷️ DYMO LabelManager 160: Convenient Portable Label Maker for Home & Office Organization by Major Callaham

Incorrect product description - unit will NOT work with AC adapter

The LabelManager 280 product description says "It can also be powered and charged using the included AC adapter." It is not true. The battery needs to be charged for the device to work. If you try to start it with no battery or with a completely dead battery, you'll get a "Charge the battery!" message when you try to turn it on. Even if the battery is partially charged, you may receive the message "Please wait x minutes while the battery is charging". It uses the same expensive and awkward proprietary battery as the DYMO LabelManager PnP, and this device is notorious for draining the battery if you leave it empty frequently. The first thing to do with this device is to print a label that says "KEEP CONNECTED" to remind you not to let the battery run out. Summary: The power pack is only used to charge the battery. It can't power it on its own, so you'll have to leave it plugged in when not in use, unless you're happy to wait when you need a label. Still a very good label printer at the current price hence 3 stars but note the product description on the Revain website is incorrect. The description on the Dymo website doesn't say it can run from an AC adapter so Revain needs to fix the listing.
