I recently decided to add a solar system to my van and the local dealer had a poor selection of controllers. When installing in a residential building I didn't want the panel to have exposed wiring (most controllers have the wiring attached to the front of the controller). This panel fits into the panel area of my RV monitor and can be "flush" mounted. The instructions were clear and simple, they provided a template to cut a hole in the panel and installation was easy. It can be configured to work with wet cell, AGM and gel cell batteries. The display shows DC voltage, current (charge rate) and battery status. If you are installing a solar panel and intend to draw less than 25 amps, this is a good choice.
