So here is what I like. The pump is great. It does well and great at pumping the water. The issue is, in a smaller bird bath, unless you have a constant flow of water, any breeze that comes along the water sprays out of the bird bath. Your bird bath can go dry in about 15 minutes.The other issue is, a cloud passes overhead and shades it, even for a slight moment, the pump stops. This product needs FULL sunlight the entire time, otherwise it doesn't work. There is no in between either. It's not like partial sunlight still allows it to operate but at a small reduction. It's an all or nothing deal.So if you have a large pond that has constant water flow, this is great. But those bird baths you order that are small. Don't bother. I purchased with a regular size bird bath and now this fountain sits in my garage collecting dust because either I have to constantly put water in the bird bath to account for the loss of water due to the fountain, or it just stops working because of the sun or lack of.
