I make, sell and trade gems and jewelry so I am constantly cleaning particularly tarnished items. Just before I received this I used a different fabric. The rings looked beautiful. When I received this rag I tried it on a piece I had just cleaned and was surprised at how much more it removed. Cut the fabric in half and fasten one piece securely for later use. I think a lot of these rags sit in a warehouse in China until they dry (there's no expiration date, so who knows how old they are). Either way, you can also cut out small strips to attach securely to your jewelry. Simply use the front of the fabric and wipe clean before putting on. Also, I've never seen any damage to jewelry from these wipes, no matter how much I keep them clean. Okay, so go and buy some old trinkets!
