I'm so glad I bought them. I've had them for almost a year now and they're still amazing. I've worn them for landscaping, snow removal, lawn mowing, etc. You've held up great. I got a really nice leather protector/extra waterproof coat that I applied every few months and it helped. As far as waterproofing goes, these boots are great. In the winter, shoveling snow and playing with the kids in the backyard made my legs feel like nothing. Now if you were sitting by the trunk with a hose - yes you could get some water in (but who does that?). As you can see in my photo I really liked them, I just have to clean them and reapply the leather protection. After a few uses they came off a bit. After reading some other reviews - they are a bit big so I'm glad I went down a half size. I could go full size but then my wool socks would be a bit tight in winter. These boots will last a long time, just take care of them a little more. I'm so glad I bought them and when this pair wears out I will definitely be buying more. Also, it's a Carhartt brand, what more could you ask for, HIGH QUALITY!
