Review on Portmeirion Sophie Conran Covered Butter by Patrick Hamilton

A really good butter dish if you want to keep the oil out but covered. Most lidded lubricators are shallow bowls with a deep lid that must be removed. The ones we had were constantly being oiled. They didn't have a good grip to remove the lid either. I opened the lid and went to put it on and it was covered in oil. When I put it down the oil settles on the counter. This deep bowl solves all my problems: It's a deep bowl that holds as much oil as anyone can use. It has a more or less flat lid that stays clean. it has a good grip. It's also good china, not cheap plastic. Easy to clean in the dishwasher. If we don't drop it and it doesn't break, it will last a very long time.
