soft yes, hard-wearing no. I washed the sheets before use and the tie came loose on one side in the wash. Now it doesn't hold onto the mattress that well, and the rest of the straps are stitched so poorly that they'll soon come undone. Cute print and softness, but they're of little use if they don't stay in place.
