loses a star; non-flat heatsink screws

Admittedly this is a little picky, but it forced me to install it in a less-than-ideal way. CPU) under the heatsink. Because it's on top, I place the fans for the exhaust, and I prefer to attach the fans to the case and then the heatsink to the fans (hence the fans are above the heatsink). This means that the air flows through the heatsink and the air inside the case is exhaled through the top. In this configuration, the processor gets a few degrees hotter than the front intake, but it's quieter, better for the pump, and doesn't blow the exhaust out the front of the case (the only alternative if it stays top-mounted). .The problem I have is that the long screws have significantly larger heads than the more common fan screws. This means that if I attached the fans to the heatsink on top of the case, the filter for my case wouldn't stay flat. It's an exhaust so I was able to remove the filter without too much trouble, but I like the aesthetics of the filter. So instead of a pull configuration, I had to place the fans under the heatsink in a push configuration. In terms of performance there is no difference but it makes cleaning the heatsink more difficult as I have to remove the fans before I can vacuum them or blow air through them. Value for water-cooled AIO. I wouldn't call it a budget choice as it's still an AIO. If you're on a budget, the Hyper 212 air-cooled radiator is by far the best option for a budget build. There aren't many comparison reports out there that include this particular model, and Coolermaster has several models with similar names (so research is confusing). From what I've seen and experienced, water-cooled AIOs tend to run in the middle, which is about the same as a high-performance air-cooled heatsink like the Noctua. However, if you are serious about overclocking, consider spending 2-3 times more for a more expensive heatsink.
