Original rating 16.06.2013: ********************************* * ** **** ** They work as advertised and are much more durable than the cheaper models with a thin metal strap that you attach to your belt (some people claim they got the cheaper option when they ordered the premium version which I didn't have the problem). I would like to point out that I've had it for 8 months now, I use it mainly to hold my lighter along with my keys, I don't use the retractable part very often (I have a long set of keys on a cord and I never have to "stretch or lengthen the lighter's cord to use my lighter) but I think it will still work fine even though I use that part a lot. This thing hits my keys hard, it's been stepped on, it fell on the floor and it shows no signs of breakage my lighters used to last about 4 or 5 days before anyone got hold of them before I started using them now I can literally use each lighter for 4 months this thing has lasted at least 8 times paid for. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to tame their naughty lighter. Updated 2015-04-16**************************** **************** ** Rope on my leash - the fire stuff broke. This happened about two months ago but I just got around to updating this review. I've been using the same lighter line for almost two and a half years. I would say it's a good run. The rope broke when I was holding the leash up so luckily I didn't lose my lighter but I imagine it happened. Which doesn't matter much anyway, considering how many lighters this thing saves. I would buy it again and recommend it to anyone who carries a lighter. Men can clip it to their keys (not as conspicuous as wearing it on a belt loop) and women can clip it somewhere in their purse. It is also ideal for concerts and music festivals.
