I liked the idea but the candle is poorly made (we get what we pay for) and the battery drains very quickly. I had mine on a well covered porch (no chance of getting wet - I'm in Arizona) and sitting outside the mechanism/wire making the battery work rusted or I would have had to press the bottom of the candle, to plug it up and light it up. I constantly changed the rather expensive lithium batteries in all six. After a while the remote stopped working and half the candles didn't work. I diligently tried Duracel's new lithium batteries several times, but at that point I was well over the price of candles. If you want to use them for one time use and don't mind paying for batteries, it's worth it. Could work for six months if you're really careful, leave them inside etc. But you'll probably need to replace the remote's battery too.
