I like to grind roasted coffee beans so I buy freshly roasted coffee beans from the local roastery. To keep them fresh I decided to try this container since the roaster listed them in their shop. I'm the only one in my house who grinds coffee beans. My wife prefers Keurig so it takes me a while (over 30 days) to digest a 1lb sack of coffee beans. While I was able to store the beans in the bag the roaster gave me, the bag isn't very easy to get in and out of, so I wanted a container with a large opening but still airtight to keep my beans fresh. Now that I've been using it for a full month (1 full bag of coffee) I can say it works great. I can easily fit 1 pound of beans in this (64 oz) container. The hole is large, which makes it easier to pick up grains. Once I'm done with the beans, closing the container is a breeze. The internal "piston" fits snugly and pushes all the air out. Then a transparent cover is put on, covering the device. If you need to keep things fresh without letting air in, I highly recommend this device.
