Review on 🚧 2 Inch by 36 Inch 3M Scotchlite Reflective Tape by Joseph Hall

This is a high quality reflective tape. It returns light towards the light source. Its main purpose is to make objects visible to cars with their headlights on or people with their headlights on. 3M makes many versions of reflective tape. This is relatively stiff and has a smooth, glossy surface on the reflective part. I would recommend only using it on objects that don't flex a lot. I bought this as a cheap way to create a test target for a FIRST FRC robotics competition and while it did what I wanted it is not an exact replacement for the 3M 8830 tape used in the actual competition. Although it's significantly less reflective than the 8830, which is also much more flexible and can be used on clothing and flexible surfaces, its smooth surface is probably easier to clean and stays cleaner than the rough surface of the 8830. I suspect the smooth surface is the one Compromise. between durability and reflectivity.
