This is the first time I've bought or used these crimp connectors (I've normally only used crimp connectors with no heat shrink tubing). I've been happy with their performance, although they appear to have a shorter internal crimp metal section than regular couplers. However, with them I was able to get used to it. After being crimped and subjected to a tensile test, they held up well. Also, the shrink sleeve requires more heat than I expected, but definitely shrinks tightly, even with slightly undersized wires or double wires at one end of the crimp. I used this on my utility trailer for the first time and this thing gets a lot of exposure to water and mud as it's a snowmobile flatbed trailer with the wheels right underneath. These connectors allowed me to make a much stronger connection to the wiring under the trailer. I believe that this will make it much stronger in the years to come. Saves me a lot of time as I won't have to fix any cables in a year or two.
