Overall just a great camera

Olympus Stylus 1 Pros and Cons PROS: -Extremely sensitive autofocus in all conditions -Great battery life -Very good image quality (but noise is consistent with other cameras with relatively small 1/1.7" sensor) - Pretty decent optical quality for the lens considering its range (albeit a bit soft at telephoto - but that's not uncommon for this type of lens) - Image stabilization works well - Touch autofocus works good - Good electronic viewfinder - even in low light -Two zoom levers -Very adjustable -Great ergonomics -Good LCD tilt CONS: -Menu system is a bit confusing and takes some getting used to -Still quite expensive for a year on the market JPEG with the highest Quality setting is not available by default, to enable you need to go into custom M menu settings intervene. As you can see, the pros far outweigh the cons. Simply put, this is a very comfortable camera to take photos with. Olympus The lens's rich color processing and sharpness over most of its range allows you to take good photos at low ISO values. Sony's 1/1.7 inch chip is good and like other cameras using this sensor I found RAW files extremely flexible. This is a relatively small sensor, however, so noise is noticeable past ISO 400, but doesn't look sloppy until you surpass ISO 1600. The overall speed, responsiveness, battery life, and touchscreen all add up to a great experience with this camera. You are very picky about low light photography or plan to invest in additional lenses. The only compromise is a smaller sensor, you will find it hard to find a comparable DSLR with a 28-300mm lens with a constant Aperture of F2.8 High to find recommended!

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Pretty much everything is fine
