Will not open the full 3 inches! Opens to 2.9 " MAX with just a little effort!
Wanted this clamp so I can clamp 2 pieces. of 2x material BUT it won't. 2x nominal 1.5" stock cannot be held by these clips. The clamps will open to about 2.9" with only some force. I bought 6 of these and they are all the same. Do not buy if you have a full one want 3 inch opening!
