Scrap! After encountering the problem of disconnecting the old connector and attaching/installing the new connector, I found that the internals were faulty. My truck wouldn't start in either P or N, so I had to reverse the whole process and reinstall the old one so it would at least start in neutral. Stick to the OEM, especially on sensitive/adjustable parts like this one.
