Efficient Neutral/Backup Switch by Standard Motor Products - NS94 Review

I have a total of 8 wires. My 93 F150 doesn't have 2 Red/Blue, I have 1 Red/Blue and 1 White/Pink which I installed on the rear connector between the gearbox and the connector. This part was perfect for my 1995 Ford E350 If your vehicle is 1989-1994 then following the instructions provided you will need to rewire the fork using the parts and instructions provided. No changes are required since 1995. It took me probably 20 minutes to take the old one off and put the new one on. Worked great.

MLPS was intended to replace a faulty assembly on my 1990 Ford F250 Diesel E4OD Transmission that was shifting erratically due to unnecessary torque converter on/off cycles. Scrap! After encountering the problem of disconnecting the old connector and attaching/installing the new connector, I found that the internals were faulty. My truck wouldn't start in either P or N, so I had to reverse the whole process and reinstall the old one so it would at least start in neutral. Stick to the OEM, especially on sensitive/adjustable parts like this one.

1993 F150 w/ 4AOD. There were problems shifting gears, especially in reverse. I've pulled codes using the jumper method and flash counting. 2 codes indicate a neutral safety switch. Replaced it with this one and the problem was gone. Hope this helps someone else with similar problems. With difficulty I inserted the pins of the old fork into the new one. For some reason, Revain shipped this switch via UPS, which requires a signature. I wasn't home when they arrived. I needed extra time to locate

I bought this product but it didn't fit me. I used to have harsh shifts in every gear, now only when shifting in reverse (partially fixed). Before installing it I tested it with a multimeter looking for resistance (ohms) in each gear but Park and Reverse show zero resistance (According to the manual it should be in the range: P from 3769 to 4608 ohms / R from 1304 up to 1593 ohms). Fitment of this switch to Original Equipment Ford requires a replacement connector on the existing wiring harness that connects to the switch. The plug is included with this neutral safety switch.
