As someone who used to ride mountain bikes and was good at it, it was very hard for me to think long and hard and accept that this is what I need. help relieve my constant 24/7 nerve pain in my left arm and hand. [(After a serious bike accident) Was about to have my arm removed but they saved it and I JUST WANT TO RIDE AGAIN!] Even on slick bike lanes, the pain is unbearable. I shyly installed this on my once very expensive XC mountain bike along with some ugly 5" risers, replaced the necessary cables and I think I've finally found the combination I need to get my bike riding properly again. Fun even if it's still just on a smooth bike path. Seems sturdy for the purpose but I would NEVER take it off the road. I still can't because the smallest stone or crack in the road causes a lot of pain. By the way, not everyone needs to lengthen or replace their cables, or just some of them. This product along with 5 inch risers required this of me.
