My Syrian hamster loves running around in his ball on this track. We have a 7 inch ball. The ball never falls off track. I don't know if a 10 inch ball will fall off the track. Like others, I hope that the company will go in the right direction. I may have to find my own direct path somehow. The track is relatively easy to assemble. Taking the splint apart to change its shape can be a bit tricky as the plastic can feel a bit sharp and you don't want to break it. The plastic is thin and pliable, but can be disassembled if necessary. Check it out in stores to see what I mean, but you'll want to buy it here as it's available for less. We bought 4 sets.
