Very good containers at a reasonable price

These are very good jars to store your spices. I keep a set in each door of my spice cabinet. The first set is Aylson but they seem to be the same as this one. Mounting - The stainless steel plate is good and the included mounting tape works very well. I had to cut the sheets to fit properly in my cabinets, but that was easy enough to do with tin snips. The magnets on the cans hold them securely in place - even when the doors are opened and closed. Spice jars - the jars themselves are good - decent quality stainless steel containers with a clear plastic lid. You have the ability to sift or pour or remove the entire lid. I almost always just take the lid off. The sieve option is a bit imprecise for my taste. I prefer to take a pinch and spread it myself. The pour option is tricky to handle when trying to pour into a scoop, and putting the scoop down isn't possible due to the depth of the container. As a result, I usually just remove the lid and I think it works great. To be honest, I would prefer the glasses had no holes. I haven't had any problems with leaking or ripping lids. The only problem I had was with cinnamon. Because this is such a fine grind, it can get caught between the container and the lid if you try to use a sieve. I had this problem once. Also, as you fill the jars with fine spices, be sure to close the lids so the cinnamon doesn't spill all over the place. Note: The containers are not completely tight, but very tight. labels. Pre-printed labels are great. I put them on the top rim of the glass so it would help if they were shaped to fit there better, but that's a small issue. The chalkboard inscriptions are nice but run a bit small - especially with long names. I'll probably replace most of these with printed labels, but they work for the basics. Overall - good value for money. Easy to install and get started. Some screen problems on lids. I recommend and bought a second set.
