Review on Detailing Products RT40 Non Acid Cleaner by Chris Thrower

Given another reviewer's experience and its matte finish I was a little hesitant to use this compound on gloss black rims. I tried it on a small spot and it seemed normal. So I went ahead and cleaned my wheels and tires and I have to say this is a great thing, especially for tires. I wash my car top to bottom every week so I figured the effect of this thing would be negligible. Thick black slime started rolling down my tires as soon as this thing hit them. I couldn't believe how much dirt came loose when I started cleaning with a stiff tire brush. In fact, it left a brown stain in the alley behind my house on its way to the drain. After a good cleaning and flushing, the tires looked like new and the rims looked great. I probably won't use this every time I drive my car because I find it so good that three or four times a year would be enough. Really good product. *Update* Used this on my other car with non-original AX wheels. He started peeling off the transparent coating. Luckily I only retried a small part and to be honest the clear coat only peeled off in a spot or two before using this product so it's really my fault. I would only use this material on wheels in perfect condition and even then I would thin it out. Without a doubt this is a good product, maybe even too good!
