The only complaint about this cute watch was that it was a little difficult to figure out how to use. I felt like I had to find out for myself before I could think of passing it on to any of my younger grandchildren. And then I needed the help of my IT specialist at work! Yes there is a guide but to be honest it didn't help me much. I think this watch could benefit greatly from much clearer step-by-step instructions. If someone is already very familiar with elements like this it's probably intuitive, but I'm not sure if that applies to 8 year olds! fun things on it and then buy them for your middle school student who is lucky to own a watch and likes to take pictures and play games with it and meanwhile learn to keep track of the time and date.
